The 5 Cups A Day Goal
The Colors of Health® reintroduces and redefines the simple and familiar goal of 5 A Day with 5 Cups a Day. The Colors of Health updates the previous 5 servings designation with 5 cups (1 cup = 2 servings) to reflect the Dietary Guidelines for Americans that doubled the daily recommendations for fruits and veggies back in 2005.
The USDA’s dietary guidelines for fruits and vegetables vary according to caloric intake and can be customized to fit your age, sex and level of physical activity. On average, most Americans eat just half (2.5 cups) of the recommended 2 cups of fruit and 3 cups of veggies.
Americans love goals. Reach for 5 Cups a Day.
